A good quality telescope can provide a lifetime of observing – The following picture is a vintage Meade DS-10A, with the addition of a Celestron CGE Pro mount

I purchased this 10-inch classic Newtonian reflector (Meade model DS-10A) almost 25 years ago and it continues to be the telescope I use the most.  It  was the following advertisement that caught my eye in the late 80’s.  I wanted the DS-16A, but knew it would be too large and heavy, so I choose the 10-inch version.  A relatively economical scope, which would prove that it’s not necessary to spend a fortune on a telescope to enjoy the night sky.
